With thanks to our sponsors
Who should apply for this program?
- Women aged 18+ who have a trauma/abuse history and are looking to heal and re-build their lives.
How much does the program cost participants?
- We are delighted to be able to offer this program at no cost to participants thanks to many private donors and major funders such as Big Sister ,AXA -XL and CommBank.
Why should I do this program?
- The EVE Project (TEP) is a comprehensive program, it is novel in the way it combines education, therapeutic and capacity building supports. TEP seeks to address the root causes of trauma not just the symptoms. TEP seeks to empower women to thrive and live purposeful and meaningful lives beyond the impacts of past abuse. Over the past five years 80% of women who have completed the program have achieved their goals.
What are the time commitments?
- The EVE Project runs during school term on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30am – 2:30pm (10 hours per week). Our first term runs for five weeks, followed by a 10 week term.
What if I have children?
- TEP runs within school hours and during school term. If you have children who are not yet attending school you will need to explore day care or pre-school options (we may be able to assist with this).
What feedback do you have from previous participants?
- “The EVE Project (TEP) has a very special place in my heart. The strength, warmth, kindness and wisdom shared during the program were exactly what I and the other ladies needed to help us start afresh on our journeys ahead. From the depth of my being, I am truly grateful to have come through TEP and to have received such gentle guidance. It has made a tremendous difference to my outlook.”
- “Thank you for the session today, I found the information and activity very interesting. I have already implemented some of what we learned about and am sitting here with a big smile on my face. I’ll take that as a very positive day.“
Why did The EVE Project come about?
- Representing Equality, Value and Empowerment, The EVE Project was born out of an identified service gap that existed for women recovering from trauma/abuse. We were unable to find a program which provided the comprehensive supports and length of service necessary to reach a point of recovery that enabled an individual to continue healing and re-building their life, so we developed one.
