This community education session is designed to help understand and manage anxiety and other big emotions in primary school aged children. Your presenter is Kerry Moss\, an author and educator at Hopefield\, Chaplain in a primary school and facilitator of a variety of parenting programs. Kerry will draw from many years of experience to present this online community education session\, exploring the physical\, emotional and relational effects of anxiety on children and families and offer strategies for supporting children through anxious moments. DESCRIPTION:SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP \nBUILD SOCIAL SKILLS WITH LEGO® \nCOLLABORATION COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE \nThis fun workshop teaches children how to work together using the social skills of clear communication\, joint problem solving\, sharing\, turn-taking and conflict resolution to build Lego® models. Our workshop is facilitated by speech pathologists experienced in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder\, ADD/ADHD and anxiety. This workshop is suitable for children aged 7 – 9 years attending mainstream schools who may struggle with social skills particularly when working in a group or team.
