DESCRIPTION:SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP \nBUILD SOCIAL SKILLS WITH LEGO® \nCOLLABORATION COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE \nThis fun workshop teaches children how to work together using the social skills of clear communication\, joint problem solving\, sharing\, turn-taking and conflict resolution to build Lego® models. Our workshop is facilitated by speech pathologists experienced in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder\, ADD/ADHD and anxiety. This workshop is suitable for children aged 7 – 9 years attending mainstream schools who may struggle with social skills particularly when working in a group or team.

SUMMARY:Understanding & Managing Anxiety In Children (2-12)
DESCRIPTION:Kerry Moss is an author and educator at Hopefield and also works in a primary school\, supporting children\, parents and staff wellbeing. Trained in various parenting programs\, she is drawing on many years of experience to present this online community education session to help parents understand and manage anxiety in their children. She will explore the physical\, emotional and relational effects of anxiety on children and parents and most importantly\, offer strategies for supporting children through anxious moments. This talk will also highlight the effects of recent events\, such as COVID-19 on child and family wellbeing. 2 hours. $15 per screen
